Great swimsuit styles to look out for this year are vintage-inspired swimwear, ruffled bikinis, one shoulder bikinis and one piece swimsuits. But the most important thing is always comfort within these trends.
Here are some tips to help:
Fuller figure: Embrace the vintage trend and use it to accentuate rather than try to hide your curves. Try halter neck tops or cupped styles, and anything that brings the waist into play to an hourglass shape.
Pear shape or small bust: Use ruffles to your advantage by adding volume at the top half. Ruffles around the bust can make it seem visually larger. You can also use vintage cupped styles with padding to create curves.
Top heavy: Use ruffles to your advantage by conversely adding them to the bottom to balance your hips with your bust. Avoid unstructured crochets or string bikinis if they don't offer any support; instead stick to structured styles and halter neck tops.
Short legs: To lengthen the body, pair a printed bikini top with a color-blocked bottom, drawing the attention upwards. Avoid boy-cut bottoms and go for high cut instead so as not to shorten the legs further.
For the past 10 years as Creative Director and Designer of L*SPACE Swimwear, my goal has been simple: to create sleek, cutting edge swimwear that celebrates a woman’s figure. From conception, my passion is to create trend-setting suits that appeal to a broad range of loyal fans and celebrities alike. I have been blessed with such fans as Lauren Conrad, Cameron Diaz, Gwen Stefani, as well as surf enthusiasts and athletes dedicated to my brand.

It was inevitable that when I was old enough to be on my own, I would move some where I could wear a bikini year around, day in and day out, which is exactly what I did when I moved to Florida at age 18.
